Chris Lemonis Head Baseball Coach

Chris Lemonis, who helped lead Louisville to three College World Series appearances as the Cardinals' top assistant and directed Indiana to NCAA regional appearances in three out of the last four years as head coach, has been named Mississippi State's 18th head baseball coach, Director of Athletics John Cohen announced June 25, 2018. Lemonis' successful coaching career includes 24 years of collegiate experience, including four as a head coach, three College World Series appearances, 12 NCAA regional berths, a combined 786-457 record and three 50-win seasons. Prior to his successful stint at Indiana, Lemonis was tabbed as the 2013 American Baseball Coaches

Association/Baseball America Assistant Coach of the Year after developing Louisville into one of college baseball's most dominant programs.

Scott Foxhall Pitching Coach

Foxhall’s career features SEC experience as an established pitching coach and recruiting coordinator and four consecutive NCAA regional finals appearances at NC State. A total of 10 Wolfpack pitchers were selected in the Major League Baseball Draft under his watch the past four seasons.

In 22 years as a collegiate coach, Foxhall has seen 45 of his pitchers selected in the MLB Draft, including eight in the first 10 rounds. He's also improved the draft status of pitchers under his tutelage by an average of 25 rounds. All eight players Foxhall has helped place in the first 10 rounds were undrafted prospects out of high school. The Greer, S.C., native has developed nine Major Leaguers in his coaching career.

Jake Gautreau Recruiting Coordinator

In August 2013, Gautreau was named an 'Assistant Ready to Lead' by Perfect Game for his work with the Green Wave in his first four years on the staff. Midway through his fifth season in 2014, Tulane head coach Rick Jones stepped down, making way for Gautreau to serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the year. During his tenure at Tulane from 2010-14, Gautreau served as the program's recruiting coordinator, hitting instructor and infielders coach. He tutored some of the finest hitters to come through Tulane. Four of his student-athletes – Rob Segedin, Jeremy Schaffer, Garrett Cannizaro and Brennan Middleton – were selected in the MLB First-Year Player Draft.

Most recently, Gautreau served as Certified Player Agent for the Boras Corporation, where he identified and evaluated talent and recruited premier amateur baseball players from across the country, along with helping them prepare for the MLB Amateur Draft.

Kyle Cheesebrough Camp Coordinator

Cheesebrough previously was an assistant coach at Louisville with current IU head coach Chris Lemonis. In seven years as a coach, Cheesebrough has been part of five NCAA Tournament teams, including back-to-back Louisville squads that reached the College World Series.
